In a bid to revitalize the faith of the faithful at St. Kizito Outstation, Kaggwa Woyera Parish Priest, Monsignor Patrick Thawale led some leaders from the Parish on Sunday 26 October 2025 in a special mission Sunday. The event aimed to rekindle the spiritual fervor of the community, which had grown inactive.
Monsignor Thawale explained that the Parish Executive Committee had observed the outstation’s inactivity with great concern and decided to utilize the Mission Month of October to re-evangelize the community.
The Chairperson of the Outstation Mr. Kondwani Selemani expressed gratitude to the Parish Priest for choosing their center for the event, promising to implement the new knowledge and improve their approach to church matters.
“We are grateful that you thought of us in this manner. We have learnt new things that we never knew before. We promise to improve in many areas including our approach to Church matters,” he said.
The special mission Sunday featured various activities including mission rosary prayers, focus group discussions, Eucharistic Celebration, and general plenary sessions. The groups that participated included the Catholic Women Association (CWA), Catholic Men Association (CMA), Youth, Tilitonse Teachers, Christian Family Movement (CFM), Choirs, Marriage Counsellors, Catholic Charismatic Renewal, Legion of Mary, and Atumiki Achifundo. Some of these groups never existed and they have since been established while others were on the blink of extinct and have been rejuvenated.
In his closing remarks, Monsignor Patrick Thawale thanked the visiting and the hosting faithful for collaboration and encouraged the hosts to show tangible results in both spiritual and physical aspects. He also tasked them to construct a direct road to the church building and a house for visiting clergy and Catechists as well as for their Council meetings.
The special mission Sunday was a timely intervention for St. Kizito Outstation, which had been absent from parish activities since January 2025. The parish is now eagerly waiting to see the fruits of this spiritual initiative
Kaggwa Woyera Parish has four outstations and the other three are St. John Marie Vianney at Buli, St. Mark at Senti and Kaggwa Woyera at Area 49.

Well articulated Mr. Kalimba. A true representation of the function. Congratulations to the Executive committee. You make the Parish Proud.
