Parish Celebrates Jubilee Year for the Poor

The Parish marked the Jubilee Year the Poor on 15 November 2025 at St. Kizito Outstation with a Eucharistic Celebration and distribution of items to needy members of the community around the outstation.

Rev. Fr. Matthews Potani, the Parochial Vicar of the Parish, presided over the Celebration, reflecting on the gospel’s message of persistence and God’s help for those in need. He encouraged the congregants to keep seeking God’s help and reminded them that everyone has something to give and receive. He commended the other three outstations for their generosity and urged St. Kizito’s faithful to participate ijn parish activities to show unity of purpose.

The Parish Vice Chairperson, Mr. Federico Benedicto, expressed gratitude to parishioners who attended and supported the event. Varisous church groups, including CWA, CMA, CFM, Legion of Mary, Catholic Charismatic Renewal and Atumiki Achifundo, donated essential items such as clothes, food and household goods to support those in need.

There were 40 members of the community listed to benefit from the donations. However, the numbers kept growing upon seeing that the items were still available for them.

The celebration aimed at promoting unity and support for the poor, reflecting the Parish’s commitment to serving the community.
